File requirements
Upload a clear original JPG or PNG, 128 KB–10 MB, with both width and height greater than 300 pixels. For a more useful reference, choose at least 1024 pixels on each side when available. Enlarging a blurry screenshot does not recover missing detail.
A file can meet the technical checks and still need a better reference. We review visibility, pose, lighting and the views required for the selected product before preparing a design.
Full body photos for figurines
For standard cartoon figures, show the whole body, visible face, clothing, hands and feet from the front. Use even light and avoid filters, heavy shadows, sunglasses or objects covering the face. The photo defines the pose and outfit; a cropped body cannot simply be filled in with guessed details.
One person, two people, or a pet
Match the subjects in the photograph to the configuration you choose. A couple format needs two visible people; an owner-with-pet format needs one person and one pet. Couple and owner-with-pet figurine requests require two matching views of the same subjects in a consistent action. For a pet, show the coat pattern, paws, ears and tail clearly. Furniture, vehicles and added scene elements require the scene quotation route.
How to choose photos for custom figurines
Choose the clearest image of the moment you want, rather than the image with the most dramatic background. Keep some space around the subject. Below 8 cm, glasses, tassels and slender accessories are especially difficult to print safely. Reliefs work best with a close portrait of one to three subjects.
Photo requirements for 3D figurines
Check the complete subject, clear face, even lighting and enough resolution before choosing the format. A file can pass the technical uploader and still need a better reference. The review considers pose, visibility, subject count and fragile features, not only the filename or pixel dimensions.
Extra views for pairs and prepared designs
For couple and owner-with-pet figurine configurations, upload two clear views showing the same people or person and pet in a consistent action. Do not change pose or clothing between views. The upload form requires both files before submission. A prepared multi-angle model still needs consistent front, left, right and back views.
Preparation and prepared previews →Choose a usable front-facing reference
For a cartoon person figurine, the handbook asks for a clear, standing full-body subject with the front of the face visible. Side-only faces, obscured faces, cropped feet and unclear clothing are unsuitable references. Keep people and pets consistent across the required views.
Relief portraits work best with a clear half-body or close composition of one to three subjects. Center the subject with room around the border, use even lighting and keep all faces visible. More subjects or a mixed layout need review.
An ordinary figurine does not include a non-handheld vehicle, chair, stool, bench, railing, support, scenery or floating prop. Use a scene request for those elements. Glasses and small accessories are reviewed for printability, particularly below 8 cm.
