The little details

Relief Styles, Text & Composition

Match the relief style to the subject, choose an outline, and check the crop and any requested lettering before approval.

Style depends on the subject

Human relief portraits use cartoon styling. Pure pet portraits may use cartoon or realistic styling. Mixed human-and-pet layouts are reviewed in cartoon styling. One to three visible subjects is the recommended composition; larger groups need layout review.

Relief describes the raised portrait construction rather than a single visual style. A realistic pet relief does not establish a realistic human relief option for these standard products. Check the face, crop and depth in the latest design preview.

One to three subjects is a recommendation

A clear half-body or close portrait with one to three subjects usually leaves more space for recognizable features. The photo guide recommends this composition, while the product manual does not impose a universal subject maximum. Larger groups, several pets or mixed people and pets need layout review before the quote. Keep the subject centered with enough room around the outline.

Where personalized text is documented

Relief frames and relief charms support requested text. Badges do not support text in the documented standard format. Check spelling, punctuation, names, dates and every character in the latest preview.

The production FAQ describes multilingual lettering, including a broad 100-plus-language claim. The visible characters and actual font coverage still need review for your text; the site accepts Unicode rather than promising every script will fit every shape. The request form uses an 80-character intake limit, which is a website review limit and not a source-defined printable capacity.

Round and shaped relief charms

The round format supports people or pets. The shaped format is documented for people; pet portraits use the round format. Both list a 6 cm product height with about 0.6 cm thickness. Round item weight is about 10–12 g; shaped item weight about 8–12 g. The final outline, border, hole and text placement are reviewed together.

Six relief-frame outlines

The 6 and 8 cm relief frame is documented with six outlines, including a gift-box silhouette. Text and subject crop must fit the selected border.

Badge and relief-charm shapes

Both human and pet badges can use a round or square outline. Badges do not support personalized text. Relief charms use one round outline and seven shaped outlines: rounded square, rounded rectangle, heart, wavy square, wavy oval, decorative rectangle and gift-box outline.

The shaped charm is documented for people only; pets use the round charm. The names describe the visible handbook outlines. Check the actual outline and available border space in the design preview.
