Figurine color differences from preview
A display emits light; resin reflects it. Screen settings, photographic exposure, print process and room lighting can change the appearance of the same color. Very dark fabric and pale skin tones need a clear, evenly lit source image.
Surface and small detail
Fine seams, glasses, fingers and fur are interpreted at the selected scale. Thin parts may need strengthening or simplification. A matte surface does not have the same highlights as a glossy render, so illustrated product photography should not be taken as an exact finish sample.
Review the right details
Use the preview to check composition, pose, proportions, visible clothing and text. If color is critical to your project, raise the requirement before accepting a quote so the feasibility and any physical sample route can be reviewed.
Delicate parts change with scale
Below 8 cm, fine glasses are especially fragile and generally unsuitable for the ordinary miniature route. At 8 cm and above, glasses and selected accessories can be reviewed with additional thickening. Balloons, lanterns, tassels, thin ribbons and similar fine features still need a printability review. A metallic shine or mirror reflection in a photo does not make the standard resin print metallic or mirror-like.
Standard and fine preparation →Visible coating marks →Supplier color references and the actual result
The manufacturing FAQ gives rough color-variation figures of about 10%, and about 15% for brown, red and black, without a defined measurement protocol. They are supplier reference estimates, not an independently measured 3D Selfie Figurines tolerance or an automatic exclusion of a valid issue.
Judge the completed piece in suitable natural light against the approved subject, outfit and composition. Report a substantial wrong color, missing texture or defect with clear photographs and the order reference.
